This is the work of Tampa, Florida-based photographer Douglas DeFelice, which includes Events, Sports/Action, Nature/Wildlife, Drone/Aerial, Landscape, Portraiture, and Fine Art photography. All rights are reserved. Doug was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and as a child growing up in the ‘80s, inherited a love for photography and videography from his father. Doug and his brother worked as assistants for their dad while he was capturing the magic of weddings. That early exposure to his father’s artistry is what lead Doug to pursue his passion for photography. Doug moved to Tampa four years ago and immediately fell in love with the area. He revels in living in paradise and finds every day to be a wonderful new adventure.
Doug owns and operates Prime 360 Photography LLC. He also freelances as a professional sports photographer with USA Today Sports, covering all types of professional sporting events. As well he freelances with Premier Boxing Champions during fight nights. Some of the notable events Doug has photographed include the Breeders Cup (as the official photographer, covering all events associated with the venue and racing footage), Equestricon (as the official photographer), World Boxing Association and World Boxing Council events, U.S. Men's and Women's Soccer Tournament Play, the Dubai World Cup, and the Kentucky Derby, to name a few. Doug’s work has been included in national and international publications including USA TODAY, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, CBS Sports, Bleacher Report, and Entertainment Weekly. Moreover, Doug’s photographs have been used by Getty Images. Doug is also a licensed FAA drone pilot, having completed Drone Journalism School at the University of Atlanta.
Doug gives back to his community through his volunteer work with the Owl's Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife in Odessa, Florida. He serves on the Board of Directors as the Media Director, and is a rescue volunteer and photographer for the organization. His rewarding work with beautiful and majestic creatures has been featured numerous times on ABC’s, “The Wildlife Docs” and shared by various news organizations.
